Well, the gingerbread cookies are made, gifts are bought, one family get together is finished and I'm hanging with my kids this week. Stress runs rampant during the holidays, but I always try to keep my head on my shoulders and remind myself about the things that count. At one point in my life I had trouble waking up in the morning and had all but given up on having a family, then I met my husband. I was almost 30 years old when I got my own personal romance story. I'll always remember our first Christmas together and every year we make new memories with our three children who are 18, 17 and 11. When money is tight, the crowds are heavy and the commercialism seems overwhelming I focus on how thankful I am for my life and finding love when I least expected it. It always humbles me and brings back my Christmas spirit.
I wish the very best holiday season for all of you. I hope you are spending time with those you love, making new memories and enjoying each other. Merry Christmas!
