Writing Fluff!

Writing Fluff
Author Sharita Lira

Today I wanted to speak about writing fluff. What’s fluff? Well, coming from the word fluffy it means soft and comfortable right? So when writing something considered fluff in my opinion it means the same. What’s wrong with this? In my world nothing at all.

I’ve read plenty of authors who’ve written some fluffy stories that have little tension and they’ve been some of the most enjoyable books I’ve ever read. To me, it matters what the characters say. What do they want and when do they want to get together? At times when I sit down to write out the character outlines and a list of details in chronological order, I already know how quickly my two people will get together for their happy ever after. Sometimes it happens within 30k, other times a lot longer.

In the book I’m editing now, I Like Em Pretty, the characters don’t have sex until around 50k. Its’ filled with tension, a murder, and some suspense along the way. This is one of the few books I’ve written where this occurs but in my mind this isn’t an issue. Whatever an author feels comfortable writing they should do it. To me, being multifaceted is the key. Do I want to write only fluff? No but I won’t be opposed to it. I allow my characters to guide me when I sit down to write. Whatever Nathan and Bryant or even Kajika and Frankie say should be done is usually the way I go. This works for me and I hope the readers appreciate it too. If not, I totally understand. The great thing about fiction is there’s plenty to choose from.

As a reader I look at a wide variety of stories. Sure more tension and angst makes the getting together part if there is one a lot hotter but at times, I want to sit down with “Roger” (my kindle) and read a romance that takes me away from the world. Perhaps it’s a fantasy paranormal or even just a contemporary romance where the characters are together within 20k. Am I mad when this happens? No. I’ve read plenty of romances, some of the het, where I felt the characters story was complete in 100 pages or less. It’s all in the mindset and in my opinion, the same applies to writing.

So in conclusion, do I love the fluff? Yes. Do I love the angsty and tension filled? Still yes. In my opinion, everyone should be able to write and read what they like. If fluff isn’t your thing, then you have the right to move on. If you don’t like a lot of tension, you can skip it. Me, I like it both ways! *smiles*

My fluffy romance Candyman is available now from NNP. Book 5 of the Something New on the Menu Series.43

Alain tossed and turned until the alarm went off at five-fifty, signaling time for a shower. “Shit!” He pulled the pillow over his head, not even bothering to shut the annoying thing off. “Oh God, who signed me up for this again?” Alain finally reached over and hit the top of it, making the noise stop. Still yawning, he removed the blindfold and rubbed his eyes. “Still fuckin’ dark outside. No one should hafta wake up when there’s no sun out!” Would he ever adjust to these early mornings? Who knew, but he’d have to do it soon.

Slowly, he slid his feet from under the cover, attempting to put them into the slippers that sat at the side of the bed. “Coffee, I need coffee!” Tossing the eye covering, he raked his locks with his hand. “Damn, hair a bit long much?”

The moment he did manage to get his toes into those warm shoes, the door opened and Lucas came strolling in with a big mug and a tray of what looked to be food.

Alain smiled and raised an eyebrow. “Now this might be a good reason to wake up early.” Damn, stop flirting! He knew it was wrong to be making suggestive comments to his deceased father’s lover, but he couldn’t help himself. The man was just too delicious to ignore.

Lucas rolled his eyes. “Cut that out! Sit up and eat this small breakfast that Marisol made for you and get ready to go. I told the staff we’d be there between seven and seven thirty.” Lucas made a production of checking his Rolex.

Still not wanting to move, Alain ate a piece of toast and sighed. “Ack! I hate getting up at this hour!”
“Well, too bad. You need to be at your best Alain, if you wanna beat your uncle.” Lucas sat on the end of the bed and stared at him some more, then he grinned. “God, you look more like Demi every day!”

Alain nodded. His smug grin replaced the grimace. He took a sip of the coffee, then slid closer to Lucas and peered into his grey eyes. “Do you wanna find out how much I’m just like Dad?” Alain couldn’t help but flirt with Lucas. The attorney was hot, hands down one of the hottest men he’d ever come in contact with. Plus, he knew it riled Lucas up.

“Hey, no; you stop that! I told you, never in a million years! Now eat your breakfast!”

Alain glanced at the ceiling and went back to eating. “Sorry Lucas, you’re just so handsome, ya know? I’ve gotta get me a man and quick! I’ve been way too lonely!”

Lucas cocked an eyebrow and drew up his lips. “Obviously!” He got up from the bed and looked at his timepiece once more. “Just hurry up and meet me downstairs. Don’t make me come back up here after you, ya hear?”

“Yes sir!” Alain saluted. He allowed his eyes to follow the hot counselor as he left his bedroom. “Dayum, baby. Dad? Why’d our lawyer have to be so hot? You cursed me!”

After eating his breakfast, Alain got dressed and finally Lucas got him out the door and on the way to the Diamond Candies building. As soon as he arrived many of the employees stood, as if they were in the military, saluting and greeting him as he walked the floors.

“Morning!” When he went to the management floor; a crowd of workers stood along the narrow halls, stepping outside their offices to say hi to their new boss. Alain nodded and spoke to each one, tightly gripping his cup of coffee.

Behind him was Lucas, doing the same while holding a stack of files – one for each of the employees. Alain had asked for them so he’d know all by name and a little about each of the top workers.

He sipped from his tall mocha latte and removed his glasses from the bridge of his nose. Now I’m awake. He used to only wake up this early when Demi wanted to take him out golfing or if they were on holiday, otherwise he never even opened his eyes before ten. Alain would have to get used to these early starts.
Once they’d made their way to the large office at the end of the hall, Lucas opened the door and Alain stepped in. “Wow! A lot’s changed a lot since I was last here.”

“Demi didn’t tell you he redecorated? After he found out about his uh, illness, he had it totally rehabbed to something he thought you might like more. He wanted to make sure you’d be totally comfortable.”

Dear old Dad!

That last statement brought a small tear in his eye as he glanced at the large space that was now his working area. The picture windows gave a great view of the outside. White walls, mostly bare; one modern abstract painting hug above the mantel of the fireplace. On the other side, a file cabinet with a stereo system on top, and in the middle, the long desk made from fine wood with rounded corners on which sat only a vase full of white roses and a pen set with a nameplate that read Alain Roux, President.

“Ah Lucas, are those from you?”

He blushed, “Yes, I thought you’d like them on your first day. It’ll motivate you to see the title even though it isn’t official. Go on – go sit at the desk and try it on for size.”

Alain returned the smile and did as Lucas suggested. Taking a seat in the leather chair, he breathed a sigh of relief when his buttocks sank into the cushion. “Oh… this chair is fabulous.”

“Gives good massages too,” Lucas added and pulled up another chair from the corner of the room.
Alain cocked an eyebrow. “Does it give hand jobs? I might need that after a frustrating day at the office.”

“Alain, will you stop?” He laughed. “Is that all you think about?”

“Yep. You know that old song by Korn, A.D.I.D.A.S? Shit, that’s what makes the world go ’round, Lucas.”

“Not the business world Alain. Here it’s all about the cash and the power.”

“You couldn’t be more right my dear Lucas!”

Alain’s smile turned immediately upside down. That wretched voice! Jakob had come to pay him a visit on his first day.

Spotlight on the Something New on the Menu Series

Good morning. I’m happy to be here to talk about the series from Naughty Nights Press my two muses have worked on as a team. Yes, I know, two sides of me working on different books. I’m sure that makes you wonder just how crazy I am but for me this is an everyday thing.

Back to the series! It’s a collection of manlove romances surrounding food and or beverages. Each book has different settings, characters, and situations but all have a common theme. Men involved in the food industry falling in love.

In my first book under BLMorticia, my protagonist Jimmy works at a burger joint in Chicago and is a homophobe. However, when his boss offers his position to someone else, the new owner and manager Alex teaches him some very valuable lessons.

Next up is Time to Make the Donuts under Rawiya. Christopher spends a lot of time running his uncles donut shop and has no time for romance. That all changes when Andre walks in the door with his winning smile and hot body. Christopher falls for him immediately but Andre has a secret that might get in the way. Will it keep them apart?

Third is Smooth Like Latte, also under Rawiya. Brendan Walsh is the CEO of his dad’s financial company and is in the closet. When he visits the coffee shop in his building, he meets Latte, a smooth talking barista who woos him from the start. Still, he’s afraid to come out to his father but desperately wants to know Latte better. Will he let go his fears for a chance at love?

Fourth is Sugar Daddy, the latest by Rawiya. The setting shifts to Britain where Matthew Davidson wants to be in a relationship. He wants a lover who takes care of him as well. While on the computer, he finds a man who he’d like to get to know better but this hot man holds secrets of his own. What are they and will they prevent them from being a couple?

Finally, the fifth book under BLMorticia is Candyman, due out Jan 2013. Alain has been given the task to take care of his father’s company Diamond Candies. He has no interest until he meets one of the workers, Ty Washington. They hit it off almost immediately but Ty has hang-ups about being gay. Will they overcome these to become lovers?

There are sequels planned for Latte, Sugar Daddy, and Candyman for the exterior characters as well in 2013. Whew, a lot but I’m very proud how all the stories turned out. If you haven’t checked out my manlove romance series with food, laughs, and hot sex by now, I hope I got you interested!

Thanks for listening.

Another Full Year of Writing!

Second Full Year of Writing
Author Sharita Lira

Wow! Where the heck did the year go, huh? Can you believe it’s already December of 2012? I know I can’t. *raises eyebrow* Seems like it was just yesterday I mentioned my goals of 2012 which I already read through before doing this post. And now, I have goals for 2013.

Submissions! My biggest goal is to submit 10 full length novels to new pubs this year and hopefully have all 10 accepted. I also plan to push the writing goal this year to 500k. How am I doing on the 40k per month? Not bad. I’m just under 400k  so it’s safe to say I might not make it but that’s okay. I won Nano, doing 50k last month and a little extra, all the books I spoke about last year came out except for one, I did the self-pub last month and will do 3 more this month. And the results have gotten better a well which is a plus.

I believe I’m one of those people that’s goal driven. If I’ve got something to focus on, it pushes me harder to achieve that goal. Without any set standards in mind, I’m sure I’ll slack off but the love to write is still there so it makes it easier to achieve those goals. Actually it’s stronger with the self-publishing as another notch in my writer’s career. Knowing that I can release my own books and build my backlist in other ways is quite satisfying. My editor was always right about building a strong back catalogue so I’m working on that now.

All in all, I’d say this has been a fabulous year and I look to make the goals I’ve set in 2013. It is just right around the corner. *wink*

Okay authors chime in if you’re reading. What goals do YOU have for 2013? Let me know your thoughts and I’ll comment on them! Thanks for listening.

* * * *

One of my last releases this year is under my wicked gal pseudonym who also has a full rock and roll series planned for 2013. BLMorticia presents the sequel to her successful debut m/m novella My Lieutenant, My Lieutenant 2: In His Arms. To be released Monday 12/3 from Rebel Ink Press!

Nathan Ellerby and Lt. Bryant Duncan are at it again. This time, the narration shifts from Nathan to Bryant who’s looking to solidify his relationship with his favorite artist. The Lieutenant wants to take Nathan to visit his naval friends, his parents who still aren’t happy about his decision to come out, as well as his best friend’s bachelor party. Bryant refuses to hide his man from the masses and despite his man’s insistence on the unimportance of the matter, Bryant pushes on.
I dressed for the occasion, in my uniform of black fitted slacks, a white shirt with black jacket, my few medals on my right breast. When I plopped my hat on top of my newly shaven head, Nathan grabbed me from behind and wrapped his arms around my waist. The scent of his Drakkar Noir infiltrated my nostrils and instantly I had an erection poking in my trousers.
“Oh God, I love when you dress up.,” Nathan beamed.
“Mhmm… I like the reaction you give when I do.” Quickly I shifted and picked him up by his buttocks. I pressed my lips against his cheek before going further down to nuzzle the crook of his neck. Damn, he looked so good tonight, wearing his tight black jeans and crewneck sweater that showed just enough skin for me to ogle and lick when I felt the need.
Nathan laughed and those hazel eyes met my gaze. “You know I love the uniform. I’m gonna hafta control myself around ya. I know your naval buds don’t need to see us being affectionate.”
“Well, maybe not overly, but that doesn’t mean I’ll be keepin’ my hands off ya.” I put him back down but continued my affections, licking and sucking on the spot above his collarbone. He swore up and down that was one of his erogenous zones.
“Ooh, baby. Don’t, please. We’ll be late if you keep this up. Then what will you tell them?”
After taking his lips inside mine, I grabbed his ass and pinched it hard. “That I was with my man and we had some, um, business to take care of? Why should I lie to them? I’m a gay man, for God’s sake, and just like they might get sidetracked, I might, too.”
Nathan giggled and reciprocated the kiss. “Ah, I love you. Let’s go on and get outta here, though. The quicker we leave and get there to socialize, the quicker we can come back and enjoy the rest of our Saturday night alone.”
“Agreed.” Despite the feelings of desire that swarmed my brain, I smacked his ass and turned back around to straighten my tie.
I had to admit, I’d been missing the brotherhood of being around my friends from the Navy. A few of us, including Bart and Pete, started in basic together and went to training school as well. Thank goodness it seemed they still wanted to be friends with me and wouldn’t hold a grudge because I was doing something they hadn’t expected. After enjoying about a half hour of kisses and gropes, we rushed out of the house to the bar and arrived about three minutes late. As soon as I went in, Bart chided me about this being the first time I was tardy.
“I had good reason!” Tightly, I gripped Nathan’s hand and winked at him.
Bart nodded. “Good to see ya again, man. You been takin’ care of our boy?”
“That I have, or should I say it’s the other way around? He thinks just because he was in the armed forces that he’s in control all the time.”
“I am…” I removed my pea coat and removed Nathan’s jacket from his shoulders. I walked them over to the coat room and, as I turned to walk out, my old friend Sergeant Miller stood in the doorway with a smile.
“Heya, how’s it goin’?” He extended his hand.
“Real good, man. Lots of recruits comin’ into the center ready to serve their country.”
“Yeah, that’s great news.”
“Means they won’t have to go back to the days of the draft.” I chuckled. “It got a lil’ shaky there for a while.”
“Naw, I don’t think that ever woulda happened, Lieutenant.”
“Good to know Miller, good to know. Hey so how’s the wife?”  I quickly changed the subject so we could talk about other things besides my orientation and why I came out.
Some things were just better left unsaid.
Miller patted me on the shoulder and walked me out of the room.
Once our conversation ended, we stayed for a little longer, ate then said our goodbyes. I think the boys really took a liking to Nathan since he knew everything there was to know about sports, especially college football, which was always a hot topic in our naval circle. Miller even invited Nathan to be in his fantasy football league for next year. Nathan said he’d give it some thought because he really wasn’t into that sort of thing. Seemingly, he’d shown himself to be very knowledgeable and my pals enjoyed talking with him.
“Well…” I gripped his thigh tightly while we drove back to the apartment. “You were a hit tonight and get this…My friend Sergeant Miller told me my appearance at the bar three months ago helped his own brother. How cool is that?”
“Hmm? How did it?” Nathan turned his attention to me.
“Apparently, he told his brother what I did and that encouraged him to come out, too. Miller told me in the coatroom.”
“Oh, while Bart was chastising me?”
I darted my eyes at him. “What d’ya mean, babe?”
“He was just askin’ me all kinds of questions, like how we met, do we go out a lot, and are we gettin’ a lot of flack.”
“Wow, he really wanted to know, huh?” I wondered why Bart inquired so much about us. I’d need to ask him next time.
“Mhmm, like he was asking for his own reference or somethin’. Right when I was about to find out, you came over and distracted us.”
“Hmm, and he shut up real quick, huh? Well babe, I dunno, maybe he’s got somethin’ he needs to say as well.”
“Maybe. No straight guy would ask a gay man all those questions. There has to be another reason besides just wanting to know.”
“Perhaps so, lover. I’ll need to try gettin’ it outta him next time.”

Is There a Difference between Erotica and Smut?

Greetings folks!

This is Author Sharita Lira here with a post about erotica and smut. Is there a difference? You might say no. Stories that involve a lot of sex, regardless if they have a storyline or not is all smut.

*shakes head*

Not true at all. In fact, a lot of erotica books on the market have less sex than they did only a few years ago. No longer are publishers interested in the kind of “stroker” stories we used to write. They want tension, passion, a hot plot, AND hot sex.

But isn’t anything with hot sex considered smut or porn? Nope. A lot of the stories written have a beginning where hero means beta hero/heroine, they go through the struggles to get together, against all odds, fighting and clawing at each other all the while, making hot and sweet love with candles around the room, satin sheets, and a cool breeze blowing through the window.

Nowadays, readers demand more too. They want to see, taste, and feel the tension between the two characters throughout the book. They like being teased and led to believe their hot couple, regardless of the traditional or the “alternative”, will have some sort of barrier between them before they slide between the sheets. If you don’t have that, then your book might not sell as well. *scratches head* It’s odd, but that’s the formula for some of the best selling books regardless of genre.

So back to my question, is there a big difference? Yep, there is. Stories with complete plots and hot sex, sell better than the get me off porn.

So, Sharita, why do we affectionately call our stories smutty? Well, we like the term. It makes us giggle. Still, authors put a lot of work into their craft. It's time the world started respecting us real authors and not just writers who create a string of sex scenes.

What do you guys think? Share your thoughts!

Hot Excerpt

After a long and hard shift, I drove from the station to Jayson’s apartment to meet him as we had discussed. He let me know he couldn’t wait to see me and of course I felt the same. The man already had me addicted to him in every way. His walk, his sexy talk, that gorgeous body, and wicked smile. Wow, what luck to find such a gem on LoveMatch.com where my bff said I’d never meet anyone worth dating. Well, I did, and he’s more than I could’ve wished for. Too bad we didn’t meet sooner. I’m almost positive we would’ve been married by now.
As always the streets were lined with cars on both sides. Lincoln Park, one of the highest traffic areas in the city never had any parking for vehicles that didn’t have the neighborhood sticker. Jayson’s building had driveway though and he allowed me to park there while his Benz sat on the street. What a gentleman.
When I made my way to the door, my man stood there waiting on me, only dressed in a robe with a visible tent poking from under the confines of that housecoat. He smiled sweetly before yanking me in, kissing my lips hard and fast. His quick move sent electric shocks to my nipples and my pussy. Instantly, I grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled it, invoking a moan from my lover.
“Well hello, beautiful.” Jayson picked me up off my feet and began to carry me up the small flight of stairs.
“Hiya gorgeous. I missed you.”
“Oh and I missed you too, lovely,” he grinned as we went inside his place.
I could feel his erection on my thigh. It made my clit pulsate. The smells of that freshly washed hair and good smelling cologne intoxicated me. “You just took a shower I presume.”
“Yeah, I just got home. They needed me after all since someone called in sick. Besides that, I wanted to get ready for you, babe.” We made it to his lair and he closed the door behind him. Scented vanilla candles lit up the room giving it a romantic ambience. Soft music played in the background added to the mood and his bed was draped in black satin sheets. Wow, what a sexy sight this is. I could get used to this.
“I know I’m more than ready for you. I couldn’t wait to get back here.” I watched him take off my shoes with my socks and lick the undersides of my feet. He sucked my toes one by one while meeting my gaze.
“Good. Are you exhausted or can we play a little before sleeping?” Jayson made a trail on from my ankle to the inside of my thigh after removing my denims from my waist.
“Oh no, I’m not tired at all. What did you have in mind, babe?” I already knew the answer but I wanted to hear him speak it to me.
A wicked smile formed through a curl of those luscious lips. He winked and got up to walk to his dresser. What could he be getting? Some handcuffs since we’d talked about that. Binds? In seconds he turned back around holding a small bottle of lube and a strap on with a harness attached. My eyes widened and I felt my heart beat speed up. Am I dreaming? Is this man really about to ask me…
“Vanessa, I’d like you to do me tonight, babe. Only one other person has strapped me before; my ex. I don’t usually pull it out unless I really care about the lady I’m seeing and since I feel so much for you even in the short time we’ve been together, I’d like you to do the honors. Please, take me Van.”
Oh God.
“Jayson, how did you know? I never told you what I wanted.”
“Oh but I recall when we had the conversation about how I liked to be with men on occasion. You agreed that it added spice and that told me, you just might like to do this.”
God what a perfect man you gave me, one I could control from time to time and hopefully love the rest of my days.
I only nodded and stood up, pulling my shirt over my head. While he placed the belt around my waist, I removed my bra and watched my man, my Jayson, get the plastic cock ready to invade his sweet hole. He grabbed the lube from the side table drawer and squeezed some of the slick substance on his hands. While he stroked my phallus, I wrapped my hand around his neck and yanked him in for a rough kiss. Jayson’s mouth tasted like coffee and mint gum. The moment our mouths connected I felt the surge of energy flow through my body, from the tip of my nipples on to the space between my thighs. My breath caught in my chest and the goose pimples popped on my skin. Excitement ran through me, just thinking about what was to happen. Finally I’d get the chance to pierce a man I cared about. I couldn’t wait to probe his tight orifice. This is the only occasion I wished I wasn’t a woman.
Jayson stopped our embrace and slipped his robe from his shoulders. The moment he revealed that lovely body again, I could do nothing but stare. “I can tell how excited you are, baby.” He spread his legs and applied some lube between his thighs.
Aroused, I watched him do this and jerked myself as if it were real. If I had a camera this would be the hottest video out there. I’m observing my man, the great erotica author, Jayson Freed, massaging his own cock to prep for my sweet invasion. “Mmmph…” I bit my lip and teased my own nipple with my fingertip. “Are you ready for me?”
“I am, babe.” His voice sounded raspy, almost as if he begged for it. That tone added to my arousal.
Once he finished, I leaned over him and teased his hole with the head of my cock. While he continued to stroke himself, I pressed into him and gasped as the harness hit my clit. I moved slowly so I wouldn’t hurt him even though I’m sure this was pretty uncomfortable.
Jayson whimpered and closed his eyes tightly. I covered my lips with his again and pulled out. “You sure you want this?”
“Yes, Vanessa. Once I get used to it, I know it will be amazing. Don’t stop!”
Again, I kissed his lips and pushed inside of him. This time a little more. Too bad it weren’t my actual flesh touching his. Still, the pressure against my moist sex made my clit tingle. I penetrated him some more and I sensed him loosening down below.
“Uhh...hmph. I feel you, babe. More…”
Ooh I loved the sound of begging. I retreated again before pushing into him once more, this time, going in all the way. I gripped the sheets on the bed as I began to ride his ass and build a rhythm. I still worked slowly since I was such a novice. The moisture flooded my inner thighs and while I continued my thrusts I nibbled on the side of his neck. The smells of our lovemaking and his cologne flooded my brain. Damn, I’m in lust, so close to falling in love.
“Oh God, Vanessa, I’m coming.” He held onto my back and met me move for move.
I reached between us and began to stroke him. Within seconds, spurts of hot liquid squirted on him and me. I rubbed it into his skin as he writhed uncontrollably. What a sight to behold. My hot man having an orgasm while I fucked him with a strap on. I’d long dreamed of this moment and now that I had the ultimate man to share it with. I could go on with life a very happy woman.

The Plot Bunny: The Good and the Bad

The Plot Bunny: The Good and the Bad
Sharita Lira

Greetings! It’s April already? Good grief! A quarter of the year already gone, quite unbelievable that 2012 is flying by but we say that about every year. And here I sit at my computer with deadlines as per usual as well as the plot bunnies that continue to pop in my brain.

No, no, wait! I’ve got deadlines! Don’t you see? A book due 4/15, a short due in May, another in June, yet these little buggers don’t give a damn. They come when I write, when I sleep, sometimes while driving and I have to focus or else I might have an accident. What the hell? Do they plan these attacks? I certainly think they do. When I least expect it, I’ve got ideas from a photograph, a song, scenario, a sentence or word, and if it’s really good it’s ready to be written in synopsis form with a couple of pictures for inspiration. If not, the thoughts are scribbled in my notebook until they become full ideas.

Do those ever develop into stories? Yeah they do. My Lieutenant for one, started out as a very small idea that I wrote in my notes; an interracial couple that meets when one man notices the other's apartment getting burglarized. That turned into a full fledge book with a sequel and a possible series in the works. When will I have time for this? Dunno!

Yes that picture is true. And just when will I have time to write about the one plot bunny that haunts me because of this picture on the right:

An m/m story, penning my muse named Jayden becoming the obsession of his coworker who’s happily married but doesn’t seem to care about the consequences. Yeah some tension there! Something About Jayden has been on my mind since like last August but because of deadlines and stories that push ahead a little more, I keep putting it off. I better write it someday soon or this bunny will eat me, I’m sure of it.

The things multiply and can become vicious, but tell me, where would we writers be without them? When in a slump, some call it writer’s block, other’s call it, well, a slump, they need these to jumpstart their writing. If you’ve been devoid of ideas then they’re good to look back on. This has never happened to me. I think I may have enough stories to last me quite a while but if it ever did, all I have to do is look in the book and my ever growing synopsis folder which currently has 16 ideas in there. Oh and don’t even mention the ones that are started and unfinished. Those just need serious edits and would probably be ready if I took the time but again, when will this be?

Hopefully this summer! I purposely decided not to answer so many subcalls so I can feed some of those bunnies and give them their just due. Some of them, like the Jayden story are amazing. Others need serious work and maybe just maybe I’ll be able to get to those later on.

What about the rest of you? Authors, what do you think about the plot bunnies? Do you hold on to them? Have little scraps of paper waiting to be read? Tell me. Thanks for listening.

Author Sharita Lira: The Triad, otherwise known as the characters in the head of Sharita Lira are three separate muses that are the driving force behind her small amount of success. Misses Lira sees her own life as one that is very ordinary, so instead of presenting herself out to the world, she created three personalities that continue to haunt her all hours of the night to get several WIP’s done at the speed of light, and push her to the brink of sheer exhaustion, but she loves it and that’s the reason she hasn’t told them to get the hell out her head.

Michael Mandrake, BLMorticia, and Rawiya collectively have written over 30 stories published in e-book and or print through 7 different publishers. Right now as it stands, Mrs. Lira and the muses have 6 sole author books with much more to come in 2012 and beyond.

She is a happily married mother of two that writes m/m, m/f, ménage, paranormals, contemporaries, and for fun some fan fiction. She is a proud member of the Erotica Readers & Writers Association, as well as an advocate for rights of LGBT citizens, and a big fan of 80′s and heavy metal music.
