How hot is a Jungle Inferno?

If you haven't read any of The Phoenix Agency books, here's a great review for Book One, and a little taste of it.
For Faith and Mark, the telepathic connection they’d shared for years was nothing compared to the scorching physical connection they realized as adults. From the first moment they came together, “erotic” was too pale a word to describe their relationship. Together they explored each other’s deepest, darkest desires. But now Mark, survivor of an ambush to his Delta Force team, is a prisoner of a terrorist group in the Peruvian jungle, and his telepathic communication with Faith is his only contact with the world. While she searches for help to save him, they survive on dreams that take them beyond all sexual boundaries.

Review:  Sizzling hot and intense, Jungle Infernois the perfect mix of nail-biting suspense, emotional torment and sultry sensuousness.
I must confess that this book surprised me.  I was incredibly intrigued when I read the blurb and after having read a few of Ms. Holt’s other works, I was anxious to read this one.  However, I was blown away by the intense scenes of imprisonment that Mark suffered and the look into a twisted political plot that could devastate the entire country – all for money.  I also loved the unique connection that Mark and Faith shared.  Their discovery that they could communicate telepathically to one another at a young age and the development of their friendship into something deep and moving was excellent.
Though hot and erotic, the love scenes are filled with passion – both emotionally and physically.  These scenes are also entwined within the action of the story in a perfect way.  I must also mention that the scenes are tasteful and not done in an offensive way at all.
I really enjoyed the character of Faith.  She is intelligent, sweet and an author – I have a fondness for books when they center on an author or bookshop in any way, lol.  Faith is also an incredibly gutsy and courageous woman who suffers right along with Mark as she literally feels his pain and torment.  Their bond is mesmerizing.  Mark, a captain in the Delta Force was taken hostage when his team is ambushed by a relentless group of terrorist.  He is tortured and suffers to no end, but never breaks.  His hold on sanity comes from his communication with Faith, as well as heated dreams of the last weekend the couple spent together in heated pleasure and endless discoveries.
Jungle Infernois an excellent read for anyone looking for sensuousness, true love, dedication and an excellent plot.  I not only fell in love with the main characters of Faith and Mark, but also with Faith’s assistant/close friend Tia and the entire group of hot sizzling alpha males that made up the Phoenix Agency.  These guys are fearless, brave, mind-blowingly intelligent, loyal, fierce and – oh yeah – all male!  I can’t wait for the next installment in this series!  Speaking of the series, here is the list of the other books in the Phoenix Agency series – which are all out and available now:  Extrasensory (Bk 2), Delicious Danger(Bk 3) and F-Stop(Bk 4).  I must get cracking on these… lol!
Do I recommend Jungle Inferno?  Oh yes, without a doubt.  This is the perfect story to lose yourself in.  It will engulf your senses and send your pulse racing.
Excerpt:
The last time she’d heard from Mark Halloran was two years ago. That time she’d been sitting in a Starbucks drinking a mocha latte and checking her schedule on her PDA when the message hit her. Startled, she’d nearly spilled her coffee and looked around to make sure he wasn’t just standing two feet away.
Hello, darlin’.
That whiskey-smooth voice had warmed her blood and made her smile. And remember the one long weekend they’d had together before he’d left on a mission.
Hi. Where are you?
Far away.
An image of him in a helicopter danced before her eyes, helmet securely on his head, rifle and other gear strapped to his body. As a Special Ops soldier, a member of the famed Delta Force, he was always in some far corner of the world on a mission that no one could discuss. Usually he was concentrating so hard on what he was doing there was no opportunity to clear his mind and reach out to her.
Miss you, came the next message.
Me too. You’ll never know how much. You still have my heart.
The image had changed to one of him naked, grinning, his blue eyes laughing at her. Her body had heated and every pulse point had begun to throb. She’d looked around her carefully, sure every eye was on her but everyone had appeared to be attending to their own business. She’d carried that short message and those images with her for a long time.
